ABSTRACT
The project “ResilIO - Fundamental Digital Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and Quantum Machine Learning for Environmental Resilience”, of which Infobiotech is the lead partner, was born from the need that emerged in ARPA Sicilia (project partner together with Tinexta Cyber Srl, University of Tor Vergata and the National Institute of Nuclear Physics), which highlighted the enormous unexpressed potential of the data currently held by environmental protection agencies.
Indeed, it will be environmental data that will be the common thread weaving the implementation objectives of the ResilIO project, representing the starting point for the development of new and innovative digital tools at the service of environmental resilience.
OBJECTIVES
The goal of this project is, in particular, to conceive, design and test a platform that can:
- enhance the capacity to acquire environmental data and information, using state-of-the-art transmission protocols and ensuring advanced “cyber security” criteria;
- make the acquired information usable through innovative systems of aggregation, georeferencing and multi-platform spatial representation of data;
- devise new predictive models and analytical algorithms based on cutting-edge technologies such as quantum machine learning and artificial intelligence.
The goal of the project will be declined through purely industrial research activities, including, among other things, the design of new sensors and new analytical and predictive algorithms, and through the implementation of a pilot project at Arpa Sicilia, which will allow the testing of research results within a new and innovative Control Room that will be created within Arpa Sicilia's infrastructure.
