Multitrace
PROJECT GRANT
Enterprises and Competitiveness NOP - Ministry of Economic Development, now Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
ABSTRACT
The 36-month R&D project called “MULTITRACE - Advanced information systems and technologies for traceability in phytopathology” was developed by Infobiotech (as lead partner) with the collaboration of Corvallis Spa (now Tinexta Cyber Srl) and the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari (CHIEAM-IAM Bari).
OBIETTIVI
In the course of the project, a highly innovative plant health surveillance, forecasting and spatial decision support system was developed; specifically, Infobiotech designed and implemented new hardware systems for acquiring data from chromotropic traps for catching harmful insects or vectors of plant diseases, from spore traps for sporigenous fungi agents of plant diseases, and from nitrocellulose membranes for rapid diagnosis of viral and/or bacterial plant diseases using the Direct Tissue Blot Immuno Assay (DTBIA) method.
